Hampton Inn & Suites Roswell

A very laid back attitude greeted at this property in the heart of "alien country". Easy to access and close to plenty of things to do. The hotel is a bit older and the breakfast had several options but not the best presentation. It would have been better if we had known the pool was closed before booking on the Hilton's own website but didn't find out we couldn't use the pool facilities until after 7 hours on the road in late August.

Door handle to room took several tries to open. Seemed faulty. Air conditioner was extremely loud and rattled. Only decaf coffee pods in the room. No desk clerk most of the time we passed through lobby and when there was we were not acknowledged. Realizing it's an older hotel, it was not up to par for the price. Also the pool had been shut down and that was not disclosed during booking. No bereavement rate offered as have experienced in the past. Very disappointing.

This hotel is well kept up, the staff was amazing and helpful they treated everyone as if they where loyalty. The location is excellent. It appears from the parking lot that it has a park or possible lake behind it. It was so green and maintained weeping Willows to fall in love with and other trees and plants where blooming. Completely fell in love with this place.

Front desk service was great at check-in but the hotel is starting to show some age. We checked in using the Hilton app but our digital key didn't work. We had to go down stairs and wait in line to get physical key cards. What's the point of the app if the digital keys don't work? As we went upstairs I noticed that the wall paper in the hotel is starting to separate from the wall in multiple locations. There was no hot water when we checked in and resulted in some cold showers. The room wasn't dirty but wasn't as clean as it could be. There was a lot of detail cleaning that seemed to be missed or not done such as the bathroom caulk lines and grout. Normally I would complain about this but our room did not have an iron. Since it was a holiday having an iron would have been nice.

The rooms are way outdated. My microwave would not cook popcorn. It has dial on it and is not powerfull enough to cook popcorn.TV is so small. Wallpaper peeling off walls. Breakfast was ok. Staff at night kept asking me for a credit card for stuff when i had already given it at check in. If you can stay elswhere for the same amount i will next time.
